The Pizza Company Race Team PDF Print E-mail

The Team was originally founded as the Scandinavian Racing Team in 2001 with 4 drivers who all lived and worked in Thailand, but all were Scandinavian’s. As The team signed their first main Sponsor The Pizza Company in Feb 2002 the name of the Team was changed to The Pizza Company Racing Team.

The Founder of the Team is Team Manager and Driver Thomas Raldorf, and over the years there have been a few changes to the drivers in the Team.

The Team is dedicated to showing a professional profile in all Motorsport events they join in Thailand, and have for the past 10 years been one of the most winning Teams in Thailand.

The Team started out as a go-kart racing Team in 2002, where they won the Thailand National Championship in the class they entered. They repeated the championship wins in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.

In 2006 the team moved into Saloon car racing in Thailand with some of its drivers while they still had drivers competing in the Thailand Karting Championship. In Saloon car racing the team won the Thailand National Championship in 2008, 2009 & 2011

In 2010 the Team’s youngest driver Sandy Stuvik, moved into Formula Racing in the Asian Formula Renault Championship, and he did that with style winning the first ever 2 races he joined and there after winning the 2010 Asian Formula Renault Championship as the First ever Thai driver to do so, but also the Youngest ever driver to do so, and the first ever Rookie driver to win the Championship.

In 2011 the Team arranged a Charity event at Bira Circuit where they collected money for a charity called “Helmets for kids” which is looked after by AIP (Asia Injury Prevention organization). The event was held at Bira Circuit in Pattaya, and the team offered people to get a ride in their races cars as passengers against the passengers paying a fee towards the charity. The Team had great help and Support from a group of people from Bangkok with Luxury Sports cars, and they came down with Ferrari’s, Audi R8’s and Lotus’s and other sponsors cars and also helps to drive passengers around. All in all the team was able to collect a total of 137.000,- baht towards the Charity. The Team got great support and help from both Pattaya 105 radio station and Pattaya Mail TV and News paper who helped promote the event so more people know about it and showed up.

The Team entered the Dubai 2012 24 Hour race event as the first ever team from thailand, and managed to finish the race in 6th place in the class and 46th place overall, which considering this was the first ever race they entered of this length was a result they were happy with.

In 2012 the team plans to enter the Thailand Touring Car Championship and also the Thailand Endurance Championship, and in August they plan to enter the 12 H Merdeka endurance race in Malaysia, and then in January 2013 the Team plans to enter the Dubai 24 Hour endurance race event again, and aim to perform better, armed with the knowledge and experience they gained in the 2012 Dubai 24 H race.
